I am a geotechnical engineer in Marino Engineering Associates Inc. based in St. Louis, MO. and a Ph.D. Candidate at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. As my professional career, I am enrolled in different geotechnical and civil engineering projects including structural analysis of pipelines, seismic studies of retaining walls, wellbore stability, slope stability, and deep foundation settlements. As my academic background, I have enrolled in different research projects and teaching activities in the academia. Since I have begun my study at SIU, I have been enrolled in publishing more than 15 technical papers in reputable conferences and journals. I am an active member in different engineering organizations including ASCE, Deep Foundation Institute, and Geo-Institute as well as a committee member of two ASCE committees including Rock Mechanics and Deep Foundations. I am also active in paper reviewing including being a technical committee member in Geomate Conferences and a peer reviewer for multiple journals.
I have acquired different notable awards including ASCE GeoConfluence Research Scholarship, ADSC- International Association of Foundation Drilling Award, and Itasca Education Partnership Award.
In parallel with my professional partnerships, I am a freelance writer, journalist, and the author of one Persian fiction book. I play Tar, a Persian music instrument, and have performed in different public concerts and performances.
