Research & Senior Development Institute, Tehran, Tehran
Paya Pardazesh Khak Consulting Engineering Company, Arak, Markazi
The 1st International Conference on Dams and Hydropower, Tehran, Tehran
2011-2016
Workshop Description: Several workshops and presentations have been held in the area of computational engineering topics including:
Introduction
This course is an introduction to modeling geotechnical problems using commercially available geotechnical software. Different geotechnical programs and numerical methods will be discussed and compared with each other. Principals of numerical modeling will be described. The modeling procedure for several practical geotechnical examples will be demonstrated using FLAC, GeoStudio software package, and PLAXIS.
The material is very useful for students and professionals in the field of civil, geotechnical, and mining engineering.
The materials of this course have been discussed in different workshops and short courses by Siavash Zamiran. A list of workshops is available in here.
